"No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves." ~Amelia EarhartYour blogging assignment for this week is to go out and perform a random act of kindness--a kind act for the benefit of someone else which brings no profit or honor to yourself. Then come back here and tell us what you did, how the recipient reacted, and how you felt after you did it. Make a difference to someone today, then see if it makes a difference in you.
Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver. ~Barbara De Angelis
Well mine wasnt big but i decided to unload an elderly womans groceries and then brought them out toher car for her. She was very surprised that i did that fior her. I felt very good about it because i helped her.
ReplyDeleteLast week, i bought my best friend a necklace that i knew she would love. We always buy eachother stuff just because it makes the other feel good about themselves. So, we usually take turns buying eachother stuff just for the fun of it. Its always nice to be suprised by a nice gift. I always feel great after doing something nice like that.
ReplyDeleteA few days ago I helped my old retiree neighbor mowe his lawn. It was really hot outside and his yard was on a slope. I wasn't looking for a return/award. His names Chuck and his wife died last year...so the best I could do is help. Sometimes I also visit his house to keep him company...I also bring him some baked goods while im at it.
ReplyDeleteLast weekend I went to a 5th and 6th grade lock in at my church because they wanted me to speak. I spoke to them about self esteem and how to feel better about themselves when they feel alone or when they feel like no one cares about them. It was alot of fun and they seemed to enjoy my speech. I felt good after that knowing that I helped kids look at themselves and other people in a different way. There isnt a better feeling than educating childeren about God.
ReplyDeletewell last week at basketball practice my coach was telling about how we should look for ways to held someone out and or serve them. he told us about how sometimes he pay for the people behind him at mcdonalds, hold the door open, or just help them out with whatever they need. he challenged us to preform a ramdon act of kindness . so ever sense then ive been looking for an opportunity he help somebody out. a couple of days ago i was at the gas station and this lady didnt have enough money to get her thing so i gave her a few bucks. she said thank you and said that it was really nice of me to do that.
ReplyDeleteLast week for my act of kindness I helped my grandma mow the yard. She wazs tired from mowing all day and she still had to cook dinner so I mowed the last part of the yard. She was really happy because she was tired of mowing. After I was done, I was also tired because the yard is really big.
ReplyDeleteLast week my mom told me to carry all of the groceries into the house because she didnt feel like it. So i told her that i didnt feel like it because she didnt feel like it but i still did a good thing. Then my mom told me that she loved me. I felt happy.
ReplyDeleteI helped someone with their math. I felt pretty good and after that he gave me a peice of gum. If everyone just helped eachother all the time noone would be in need of help.
ReplyDeletetoday i some one droped a book, and i picked it up for them
ReplyDeleteMy random act of kindness today was that of charity. Someone had their dollar eaten at a vending machine as i happened to pass by. Noticing the distraught stranger didnt have another dollar, i offered them a dollar of my own. They gladly accepted it, thanked me, and bought their beverage. I felt pretty good afterwards. It's always nice when someone can help you out in your little misfortunes.
ReplyDeleteWe all have chores of some what, and to be honest I dont like doing chores at all. Expacailly dishes. I would rather wash dirty, sweaty clothes all day than dirty dishes. My mom has been making me do them lately, grr. I did them the other night at 8:30 because I went somewhere and was told to do them when I got back. We had to wait until I got done with the dishes before we could eat lol. So as my act of kindness, I last night I told my mother that I would do the dishes without even giving it a thought. And I did them today before she got home from work :) It may not have been a act of kindness for a stranger but for someone I love instead to show appritation.
ReplyDeleteWell i went out and bought my mom flowers and a reeces and included a card that said i love you mommy:) she smiled and hugged me then she put them in a vase and placed them on the dinner table. It made me feel good because my mother was happy and she does a lot foe our family and deserves nothing less of perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe other day when I was moweing my lawn I thought about my elderly neighbor. I thought about moweing his lawn as well! We always do nice stuff for him. Like bake him goods and help him with his chores. It's always nice to do something when you know they can't do it themselves.
