Online Journal Entry #12

The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought, this in turn makes us think more deeply about life, which helps us regain our equilibrium. ~Norbet Platt

I hope you all had a wonderful break! Now, Friday is midterm and the last three weeks of this term will fly by and we still have a LOT to accomplish!! Someone asked me recently, "What is the point of blogging again?" Well, in case some of the rest of you were wondering as well, as the name of each post implies, these are Online JOURNAL entries. Each blog post is a writing opportunity. But instead of using class time and paper and pencils, you each have a whole week to get online, have some time to yourself, and WRITE! With that in mind, look back at the original rules: One or two sentences is not going to cut it anymore. These are journal entries. Put some thought into them. Tell me about yourself and your life and your thoughts. Open up. Think, for goodness sake. :)

For this week's post, write a journal entry about some experience you had over the break. The dinner itself? Your family traditions? A fun time with your friends? Your crazy family? What-ev. Pick something and WRITE!!

  1. My Thanksgiving break went great! I got to spend some quality time with my aunt and uncle and my cousin who is in college and rarely home. However they live in St. Louis so from my house ( in kirbyville ) to theirs is a four hour trip... me, and my little brother on a four hour trip. Let's just say it was an interesting car ride. But besides the long aganizing journey to St. Louis we had lots of fun playing games, watching movies, and most importantly eating!

  4. Well I didnt really do much over Thanksgiving break. Me, and my family went to my grandparents house and ate there and hung out for awhile. Then of course there was the black friday thing over break so my parents went out and shopped while I stayed home and stayed up most of the night with my younger sisters. My break wasnt that exciting, but thats what I did.

  6. On Thanksgiving break my sister came home from college and I got to stay at my granparents most of the time. I ate Thanksgiving lunch there first and then I went to my other grandparents house and ate there too. After that I went back to my other grandparents house and we went shopping at midnight.

  7. Over my thanksgiving break I didn't really do much like everyone else. The dinner was good, but having no school and staying up late not worrying about waking up early the next morning was even better! Hopefully this "winter break" comes alot sooner.!

  8. Over Thanksgiving break I had an amazing time. I got to see my best friend from seventh grade. She moved to Luissiann, I miss her so much. Her dad lives in Branson and she had to come visit him. When she did he let her come and see me. I was so happy. (: On Thanksgiving day I had the usual titled dinner with my family, I was really full. Overall this Thanksgiving break was a lot of fun.
