All that focus on YOU: What YOU think, how YOU feel, what things best represent YOU, and how YOU express YOURSELF! What would YOU think if I said we were going to share them with the class? Excited? Nervous? Remember, we are a Classroom Community!! We are here to share with each other, support each other, encourage each other, and celebrate with each other!! Hmm, did I say celebrate? How did communities usually celebrate again? ;) So, once again, for this week, tell me: How do you feel with all this focus on YOU? Empowered? Uncomfortable? Terrified? Maybe we can use this experience of showing off our imaginations and individuality to build some of that initiative and independence! What do you think?!

I think that the identiKits has been a fun assignment and the whole point of the identiKits is to learn more about eachother however how are we supposed to bond and learn about each other unless we share about ourselves? That's how I fell about them, however, on the other hand I don't know that I'm necessarily willing to share. I'm more of the shy sort of person and not one for giving presentations. So I'm sort of nervous
ReplyDeleteIf you said that we were presenting our IdentiKits, I would probably be nervous because I don't like presenting stuff in front of the class. When all the focus is on me, I feel kind of uncomfortable because everyone is looking at me and if mess up they are all watching me. I think that maybe showing off our imagination and individuality that we may be able to build some initiative and independence, but I don't think it will work with some people because they still don't like talking in front of people.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel very comfortable about sharing facts about myself on such a personal level. I'm not shy, i'm just not open to revealing a lot of personal information to people whom have not gained my trust. This project really isn't one of my favorites, but i guess it's a good way to get to know people...
ReplyDeleteim probably going to be nervous when i present my identi-kit and gonna be studering a lot and make quite a bit of mistakes well i hope that my presentation is gonna go well and be complete monday

Great comments!! And even though you may not feel completely at ease while presenting, there is something about sharing a part of yourself that will truly make this a community building experience. They say that to have a friend, you must first be one; well, to get to know others, you must be willing to let them get to know you! I, for one, can't wait for Monday!! :D
ReplyDeleteI would be a little bit nervous but i can present infront of people. I would be a little scared but i would know that i was just being me and just show people who i am. I would feel ok as soon as i started though.
ReplyDeleteI think I will be comfortable showing my identikit ,because I have it all down and ready to show the class. I think it will be fun though to learn more about other people and there differences. It will also be fun to show my life and how fun and exciting it really is.
ReplyDeleteIm nervous about presenting my identikit because I dont really like opening up to people on a personal level. I think Im more nervous about what people will think more than actually going up infront of the class. I guess I just need to learn to be more open with people.
ReplyDeleteI don'think that I will be scared to present my idendtakit. I don't think that I'll be nervous because I like to talk in front of people and it doesn't really bother me. I think that this projectwill allow us to learn more about out peers and also allow them to learn more about you. I thought that this project was really fun.

ReplyDeleteThe identiKits turned out to be a good idea, although i didn't think so when i first heard we were presenting them.They helped us learn alot more about eachother. Also to come out of our shell and feel more comfortable around our classmates. I was however, a tad nervous presenting mine infront of everyone.
ReplyDeleteEveryone gets nervous at a certain point in time. But same here! I would be just as nervous as any body out there. But when you are presenting in front of the WHOLE class it could be a bit uncomfortable. There's people out there that are insecure and there's people out there that are confident. But confident people have their moments. I'm a dithery person, so I don't like the attention as much. Being in front of the crowd and having the spotlight can have it's advantages...
ReplyDeleteWhen you say all the focus is on ME and right then it's all about ME, wow that makes my heart race. I hate having all the attention on me... That just makes me nervous. I remember how everytime it was my turn to present a project I would try to hide and make sure I'm not called on. I hate having all eyes on me.. I'm a very self concious person.. And when people are staring at me and paying attention to me and noone else... I get very nervous. If its a smaller group of people not so much. Yet you say we're a classroom community, that helps I guess. Also what you don't know is some people in class.. Aren't very "NICE" to people........ But yet again I guess having all eyes on you could be a good thing.. I guess.
ReplyDeleteIf i got asked to present in front of the whole class i would probably be pretty nervous because i am not a fan of presenting in front of a group of people. I would also not like to present in front of people because when I have personal info to tell people i dont feel comfortable doing it.
ReplyDeleteI would be a little nervous, but not really. With the topic being me, it's not really that hard to talk about something I know so well. If it were a topic I didn't know much about I would be extremely nervous.
ReplyDeleteI think that if you told me to represent my Identikits I would probably be nervous and somewhat exited. I would be nervous because maybe what I represent others wont approve. But I would be exited to because I like to share my thoughts and opinions on things. I also think that everyone's Identikit is important.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was fun creating my Identikit because when i was looking through old pictures and photo albums it made me remember old but funny memories of my family and friends.I would be nervous about presenting my identikit because i am a semi shy person and i don't really like talking in front of a large group of people especially if its about me and my life but since i was absent i did not have to present.:)
ReplyDeleteWhen I have to get up in front of people I get nervous because of stage frite. But over the years I've learned to handle it a possitive way. Since I don't really how people persive me, I just focus on letting the crowd know who I am rather than them focusing on what I am.
ReplyDeletei was super nervous! I hate public speaking and the thing is, it wasn't as bad as i thought!:D Ha. I shared alot though. I felt more in tune with the "classroom community";D
